Michael Loli

Michael Ioli is a tour guide at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation. He has volunteered at the Memorial since 2009. Ioli enlisted in the U. S. Army from his hometown of Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. He received his basic training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Ioli served with the Military Police in Qui Nhon, Vietnam from December 1966-1967.

Today, Mike is retired after a 35-year career with the Postal Service, where he was a Postmaster. He lives in Oakhurst, New Jersey with his wife Maryanne and has two children and four grand children.

Mike belongs to the VFW, the Knights of Columbus and the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial and is still active in Catholic Education at St. Jerome School. He enjoys volunteering at the Memorial and Vietnam Era Education Center because he wants younger generations to know what it was like to serve for his country during this period of war.
