Joe Scalora
Joe Scalora enlisted in the United States Air Force from his hometown of Paterson N.J.
He entered the service on Sept. 19,1966. He received Basic Training at Amarillo AFB Texas. He received advanced training at Sheppard AFB Texas. Airman 2nd Class served in Vietnam from March 1968 to March 1969 at Na Trang AFB , working on AC-47,C-123 and other Aircraft as an engine mechanic. After his tour in Vietnam, he returned to McGuire AFB New Jersey from 1969- 1970. Honorable Discharged Sept 1970.
Today, Joe is retired and lives in Bergenfield N.J. with his wife Cheryl.
Joe belongs to VFW Post 6467, A.L Post 21, DAV Chapter 32, VVA Chapter 800.
