Biography


Michael Jennings was born on February 24, 1950, to Mr. and Mrs. John Jennings.  His home of record is Penns Grove, NJ.  He had one brother, John Jr.

He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).  Jennings served with the Support Company, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

Jennings was killed in action on July 25, 1969. He is buried at Salem County War Veterans’ Memorial Park & Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ.

 

Michael’s name appears on the Penns Grove High School Vietnam War Memorial, dedicated in September 2010, which stands near Penns Grove Middle School.
