Biography
Michael C. Ettz was born on January 28, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ettz. His home of record is Lodi, NJ. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1965.
He served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Corporal (CPL). Ettz was a squad leader with the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines at Con Thien.
Ettz was killed in action on October 23, 1967, in Quang Tri Province. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the American Service Medal and the Vietnamese Military Merit Medal for gallantry. He is buried at Saint Marys Cemetery in Saddle Brook, NJ.
