Biography


Vincent F. Risoldi was born on January 5, 1947 to Gregory and Dorothy Risoldi.  His home of record is Iselin, NJ.  He had two brothers, Steven and Gregory, and four sisters, Madlene, Robin, Lisa and Doreen.

Vincent was known to his friends and family as "Chipper".  He loved sports, but his greatest desire was to be a Marine.  On May 20, 1964, at age seventeen, he was allowed to enlist in the US Marine Corps. 

Risoldi received his basic training at Parris Island.  He served with the 3rd Marine Division, and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC).  He received three Marksmanship medals. 

Risoldi was killed in action in Da Nang on June 28, 1965.  He is buried at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
