Biography


Howard W. Johnson, Jr. was born on April 7, 1947.  His home of record is Trenton, NJ.  Johnson was a graduate of Reynolds Junior High School. He had a passion for fast cars and was a skilled mechanic. He was employed as a mechanic at Sear’s Service Center in Fallingston, NJ.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC).  Johnson was assigned to Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment attached to the 199th Light Infantry Brigade.

Johnson was killed in action on August 30, 1967.

He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Mercer County, NJ. He was survived by his parents, Howard and Lillian Johnson, wife, Carolyn. He was also survived by his sisters Mrs. James Lawrence and Mrs. Raymond Kelvy.
