Biography


John K. Tooke was born on July 14, 1946, to Reverend Karl B. and Mary Frances Fairchild Tooke. His father was a Methodist minister. He was originally from Arcadia, LA. His home of record is Willingboro, NJ. He had two sisters, Mary and Ruth. John graduated from Arcadia High School and attended Northeast College in Monroe, LA, before entering the service.

He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).

Tooke was killed in action on November 6, 1967. He was survived by his wife, Sheila.
