Biography


Robert G. Solomon was born on August 8, 1949. His home of record is Rahway, NJ.
Robert attended Rahway High School. He had one brother, Millard, and two sisters, Geraldine and Linda.

Solomon served in the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). He served in Company C, 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry (Airmobile).

Solomon was killed in action on August 19, 1969. He is buried in St. Gertrude's Cemetery on Inman Avenue in Colonia, NJ.

Solomon was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, the Air Medal, the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal w/ Bronze Service Star, the Expert Badge w/Grenade Bar, the Automatic Rifle Bar, the Combat Infantryman Badge (First Award), the Parachutist Badge and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon.
