Biography
Walter L. Babbitt, Jr. was born on October 4, 1945, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Doris Babbit, Sr. His home of record is Boonton Township, NJ. He had one sister named Ruth Ann and a brother, Douglas. Walter graduated from Boonton High School in 1963. He played varsity football, was on the track team, in the Glee Club and in the school band. Walter served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Private First Class (PFC). Babbitt was killed in action on May 28, 1967. Sources: High school yearbook, the Babbitt Family, and NJVVMF.
