Biography


Charles S. Burns III was born on January 26, 1941, to Charles Stuart II and Marie Louise Riebes.   His home of record is Fanwood, NJ.  He had a younger sister, Catherine.  He married Susan Virginia O'Rourke and had one son, Kevin.

Burns served in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain (CAPT).

Burns was killed in action on September 28, 1966, in his single engine aircraft on take-off from a field in Vietnam.  He is buried in Restland Memorial Park in East Hanover, NJ.
