Biography


James Frances Lytal was born on September 13, 1927, in Mississippi.  He was raised in Mississippi.  His home of record is Wanamassa, NJ, as it was his last duty station before being reassigned to Okinawa.  He had one brother.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC).

Lytal was killed in action on March 10, 1967.  He was survived by his sons, David and Edward.
