Biography


Kenneth W. Schauble was born on October 23, 1947. His home of record is Closter, NJ. He graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School.

He served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Corporal (CPL). Schauble spent time during his R & R with his brother.

Schauble was killed in action on June 6, 1968 in the vicinity of Quang Tri.

His parents, his brother, Daniel, and two sisters survived Kenneth.

The following is an excerpt from The Record about Kenneth Schauble dated Monday, January 29, 1973:

Kenneth Schauble's military career was marked with its share of honors.

While with Marines in Vietnam, he was promoted to corporal because of what his father termed his bravery in action and his resourcefulness. And Cpl. Schauble's unit received a presidential citation for its defense of Khe Sanh.

He had lived in Closter since 1964 and graduated from Northern Valley High School in Demarest.

In June 1968 he was killed in the vicinity of Quang Tri. He was 20.
