Biography
John F. O’Shaughnessy was born on October 10, 1946. His home of record is North Bergen, NJ. He attended Pope Pius XII School in Chester, N.Y before coming to New Jersey. He attended Emerson High School in Union City, he received his diploma while serving in the Army.
O’Shaughnessy served in the US Army, enlisting on his 17th birthday in 1963. He received basic training at Fort Dix and advanced training at Fort Campbell. He attained the rank of Private (PVT). He served with the 101st Airborne Division.
O’Shaughnessy was killed in action near Puy Hoa on February 7, 1966.
