Biography
Robert A. Kolas was born on May 21, 1947, to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Kolas. His home of record is Elizabeth, NJ. Kolas graduated from Middletown Township High School in 1966.
Kolas served in the US Marine Corps and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL). He served with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, FMF.
Kolas was killed in action on August 15, 1967, in South Vietnam at Quang Nam.
There is street (Kolas Court) in Middletown Township, NJ, named in his honor.
