Biography
Craig J. Devore was born on July 21, 1947, to Jesse and Cecelia Devore. His home of record is Garfield, NJ. He had one sister. Craig graduated from Garfield High School in 1965. During his high school years, he participated in Student Council, Italian Club, Archery Club and Spanish Club. He played baseball and football and was part of the Skin Diving Team.
Devore entered the US Army in May 1966 and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He served in Munich, West Germany, prior to being transferred to Vietnam.
Devore was killed in action in Saigon on July 8, 1968.
