Exploring the Vietnam Era with the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial
Thursday, December 1st, 8 am to 4 pm
Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Roger Harris. Dr. Harris is a Marine who served in Vietnam and is featured in the Ken Burns Documentary. After his service, he became a teacher in South Boston and eventually the Founder and Superintendent of Boston Renaissance Charter Public School.
We will also have panels led by The Vietnamese Boat People Podcast Founder Tracey Nguyen Mang and Ann Kelsey, a Librarian in Vietnam with Army Special Services, on the Role of Women in Vietnam. We will also be bringing back our Vets on Video Panel, where our tour guides discuss the good, bad, and ugly of major motion pictures on the era.
