Soul Soldiers: The Story of Richard and Frankie Boyce
Join us for this 3 hour Professional Development workshop  chronicling the music of the Vietnam Era from a uniquely New Jersey perspective.
Thursday November 15th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial
1 Memorial Lane Holmdel, New Jersey 07033

Educators will have the opportunity to hear from our long time friend and supporter Richard Boyce.

Richard and his brothers grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey. In 1968, the brothers signed a record deal with Warner Brothers Records. One month later both Richard and his younger brother Frankie were drafted. During his presentation he will share his story of music and family during the Vietnam War.

After the talk our Museum Educator Keri A. Giannotti will present lessons using the lyrics of Frankie Boyce and his letters home. Our Curator Greg Waters will discuss the objects in the current exhibit that help tell Frankie’s story.

3 Hours of Professional Development Credits will be awarded.
The cost for this workshop is $25.
Pizza and salad will be served.
Please register through google forms. Payments in cash and check can accepted on the day of the workshop. Please let us know if you will be sending a purchase order from your school.
