Class Field Trips

Why Bring Your Class Here?

Class trips at the Memorial and Museum offer students unique opportunities to hear first-hand accounts and perspectives about the Vietnam War and Era. Since 1998, we have hosted over 120,000 students and educators, representing the region’s diverse school districts. Many have participated in our educational programs for over a decade. We have hosted some school districts annual for year after year.
“You are the living memories of those who fought and died for their country. By the end of the war, the entire conflict was considered a mistake by many… Many of the soldiers, no doubt, had no idea what they were fighting for, dying for. People like you keep the memories alive. And with these memories, hopefully, we will not repeat this mistake. On behalf of the Princeton Day School middle school, I thank you. You have shown me the meaning of both patriotism and oppression.”
-Lon J., Princeton Day School

Class trips usually start at 9:00 AM Monday through Friday, but we are very flexible and can work with your schedule and needs. Tours can be customized to any age group.

March through June are is our peak class trip time – slots fill early in the school year. We recommend that teachers book their tour as far in advance as possible to get the tour date and time they prefer.
If your group would like to have an extended tour, please contact us. Many school groups choose to do a lesson with worksheets and/or other activities like our Puzzle Activity that require additional time . We try to be a flexible as possible. Please call our office at Michele Knell or call 732-335-0033 x108 to discuss any special requests or needs.
