So Future Generations Never Forget...
A Message from our Executive Director
Since 1995, the NJVVMF has provided a place to honor those who have served and continue to serve our country. Our Memorial is truly a place “To Remember, To Heal, To Honor” through ceremonies and outreach programs.
Our Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center is the only museum in the country dedicated to encouraging an understanding of the Vietnam Era and its lasting impact on American culture at the local level. Our programs and services include guided tours, lectures and public programs, educational programs and unique historical collections.
You can help support our work in many ways— from becoming a member to purchasing merchandise and including the NJVVMF in your financial plans. Your support helps us develop innovative and relevant educational and public programs. It also ensures that New Jersey’s veterans receive the respect and services they deserve.

Ceremonies & Programs
(Memorial Day Ceremony)
We host four annual ceremonies; New Jersey Vietnam Veteran Remembrance Day, Memorial Day, POW/MIA & Gold Star Mother Day and Veterans Day. We also host various programs throughout the year for the region’s veteran community and their families.
(School Field Trip)
The Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center is the only one of its kind in the nation. Since its opening in 1998, we have welcomed over 180,000 visitors. Each year, more than 5,000 students tour the Memorial and Museum, led by our Volunteer Vietnam Veteran tour guides. Hundreds of New Jersey schoolteachers have attended our annual Forum, enhancing their teaching methods of the Vietnam Era.

Held in our Testimony Theater, we host monthly public programs including musical performances, film screenings and lectures. Our programs appeal to many interests and ages, offering something for everyone.
("Marking Time: Voyage to Vietnam")
Drawing from our unique historical collections, our exhibitions give a local perspective on the events and popular culture of the Vietnam Era. Exhibitions are done in collaboration with our community, relying on the expertise of local veterans, educators and historians. Our temporary displays change two to three times a year.
