Biography


Joseph A. Goldberg was born on September 27, 1930. His home of record is Linwood, NJ.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CWO). He was the first Army pilot killed in Vietnam. They named the airport/camp at Qui Nhon, Camp Goldberg after Joseph.

Goldberg was killed in action on July 15, 1962. Joseph is buried at Lee Memory Gardens, Sanford, Lee County, NC.
