Biography


William Eister was born on January 17, 1938.  His home of record is Mount Holly, NJ.  He graduated from Mahoney Joint Regional High School in Northcumberland County, near Harrisburg, PA.   

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5).  He made the Army a career and spent 39 months in Germany prior to requesting a transfer to Vietnam.

Eister was killed in action on February 6, 1968, only six weeks after he arrived in Vietnam.  He was survived by his mother, Dorothy I. Arnold, and his brother, Albert.
