Biography
Melvin E. Taylor was born on July 17, 1947 in Atlantic City, NJ. His home of record is Paterson, NJ.
He served in the US Marine Corps with the Golf Company, 2ndBattalion, 1st Marine Division, 3rd Marine AmphibiousForces. Taylor attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).
Taylor was wounded in action during Operation JAY on March19, 1968 . He was transported back to the United States and died from his wounds in the VA Hospital in East Orange, NJ. He is buried at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ.
