Biography


Leonard P. Keller was born on April 24, 1950.  His home of record is Bayonne, NJ.  He had two brothers and two sisters.  Keller was a 1968 graduate of Marist Brothers Boys High School.  He worked as a delivery truck driver for Wolf's Liquor Store until he was drafted in June 1969.

Keller served in the US Army as an infantryman assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division.  He was sent to Vietnam in November 1969, and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4).

Keller was killed in action on March 10, 1970.  He was 19 years old.  He was survived by his parents.

He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Marksman Badge w/Auto Rifle Bar.
