Biography


Michael A. Pfeufer was born on August 28, 1948, in Teaneck, NJ, to Carl T. and Marie E. Pfeufer. He was one of eight children - seven boys and one girl. His home of record is Dumont, NJ. He graduated from Dumont High School. He worked in the commercial art/packaging field.

In July 1968, he entered the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4). His older brother Paul also served in Vietnam.

Pfeufer died on November 19, 1969, at Walson Army Hospital at Fort Dix. A requiem mass was held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Dumont. He is buried at St. Juliannas Cemetery in Rock Lake, PA.
