Biography
Francis S. Rhoades was born on January 19, 1950, to Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Rhoades. His home of record is Elmer, NJ. He attended Bridgeton High School and was employed by Centerton Golf Club.
Rhoades enlisted in the US Marine Corps on January 31, 1968, and was sent to Vietnam on July 28. He attained the rank of Private (PVT) and served with Company F, BLT 2/7 9th MAB.
Rhoades was killed in action on September 19, 1968. He is buried at Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove, NJ.
