Biography


Thomas M. Hoffmann was born on October 28, 1948.  His home of record is Palmyra, NJ.  Thomas had one sister and one brother.  He graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum High School in 1967.

He joined the US Marine Corps in May 1968.  He was sent to Vietnam in November 1969 and attained the rank of Lance Corporal (LCPL).  He was a radio operator with Company A, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines, 3rd Marine Division.

Hoffmann was killed in action on May 19, 1969, during a mortar attack northwest of Cam Lo, Quang Tri Province.
