Timothy Z. Borden was born on March 25, 1949, to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Borden.  His home of record is Trenton, NJ.  He had one brother, Guy.  Timothy graduated from Northern Burlington Regional High School.

Borden was inducted into the US Army in September 1969.  He was attached to the 198th Infantry Brigade, American Division.  He attained the rank of Corporal (CPL).

Borden died on March 15, 1970, at the age of 20, as a result of wounds suffered in a booby trap explosion during a combat mission a few days prior, near Quang Ngai, Vietnam, about 75 miles south of Da Nang.

Along with his parents and brother, Borden was survived by his wife, Brendan Shelly Borden.
