The Vietnam Era Educational Center offers a variety of different learning opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages. From our guided tours for elementary through college students to our lecture series, the Educational Center offers something for everyone.
Teachers will be especially interested in school tours, our teacher open house and a sample teacher packet. If you can't bring your class to us, we invite you to explore our Distance Learning opportunities. As a registered NJ Professional Development Provider, programs at the Ed Center offer teachers a chance to gain hours for their requirements.
For older students, our Resource Library has more than 1,500 items for you to use on-site. In addition, each semester we host interns from local colleges and universities.
Veterans and the general public will find a topic of interest in our monthly lecture series. The Educational Center hosts authors and other distinguished individuals to discuss Vietnam Era topics. In the past some of the topics have included: the Role of the Coast Guard in the Vietnam War, War Dogs, Navy Seabees, History of the Anti-war Movement, and Women & the Vietnam War.
