Jennifer Nguyen Noone


Jennifer Nguyen Noone was born in South Vietnam and evacuated on the final "Operation Babylift" (OBL) flight-April 26, 1975 with Cherie Clark and Sister Therese LeBlanc.


Hospitalized through early June in Denver, CO, she arrived home to her adoptive parents Byron and Lana Noone on June 5th and is the final baby placed via OBL.


Jennie was raised in Garden City, NY with her brother Jason Paik Noone (adopted from Korea in 1979).


She graduated cum laude from Drew University in Madison, NJ in 1997 with a BA in Psychology and received a graduate degree in Social Work from Columbia University, NYC in 1999.


Jen has worked with diverse populations in her career as a Certified Social Worker and has participated in OBL programs at the Smithsonian Institute's Hirshhorn Museum, Washington DC and The American Museum of Natural History, (AMNH) NYC, among others.


She served as Assistant Director of Holt's Camps for International Adoptees and participated in Holt and Spence-Chapin Adoption Agencies Programs for adoptive families


Jen was featured on C-SPAN's coverage of the AMNH Program, appears in Tammy Nguyen Lee's film as herself and was interviewed for OBL articles that appeared in People Magazine, Newsday and USA Today among others.


Jen wrote a chapter of the nationally-acclaimed book "Global Mom: Notes From a Pioneer Adoptive Family" and she and her mom Lana participated in World Airways Diplomatic Trip to Vietnam in 2005.


She recently returned to the US from an extended work/residence in Vietnam and Bogota, Colombia.
