Joseph McCants, Jr. was born on April 7, 1949.  His home of record is Trenton, NJ. 

He entered the US Army and attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT).  He served with A Company, 1^st Battalion, 506^th Infantry, 101^st Airborne Division stationed at Camp Evans, Quang Tri.

McCants was killed in action on May 17, 1969 in the Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.
