David William Robertson was born on December 19, 1945. His home of record is Kearny, NJ. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1963.
David entered the US Army in May 1967, where he attained the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He was assigned to the 2D Battalion (Airborne), 8th Cavalry, 1st Air Cavalry Division.
On June 27, 1968, Robertson was killed in action by enemy small arms fire while on a search and destroy mission in the vicinity of Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam.
For his service and sacrifice to his country, Robertson was awarded the Air Medal, The Bronze Star Medal, and The Purple Heart Medal, posthumously.
