Barry A. Manthey was born on January 5, 1948. His home of record is Columbus, NJ.

He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Corporal (CPL). He served in B Company, 3rd BN, 7th Infantry, 199th Infantry Bde. He started his tour on April 2, 1968.

Manthey was killed in action on August 14, 1968 in Gia Dinh Province, South Vietnam. He is buried at Christ Church Cemetery in Bordentown, NJ.
