Arnold C. Hayward was born on November 4, 1932.  His home of record is Trenton, NJ.  Arnold attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden and was the center on the football team.

Hayward served in the US Army and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC).  He was assigned to Headquarters Headquarters Company, 1^st Battalion, 506^th Infantry Regiment, 101^st Airborne Division.

Hayward was killed in action on July 11, 1969, on Hill 996.
