Biography
William G. Eggenberger was born on July 1, 1939, to Mr. and Mrs. William Eggenberger. His home of record is Lyndhurst, NJ.
He served in the US Army and attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4).
Eggenberger had reenlisted in the Army after working briefly at a civilian job. He returned to Vietnam as a paratrooper.
Eggenberger was killed in action on May 13, 1969. He was hit by small arms fire during an attack on LZ Debbie. He is buried at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Delawanna, NJ.
